3 Ways to Leverage Your Email List


As business owners, we often get caught up in the thick of our day-to-day tasks that we forget to use the tools we have to develop better client relationships. One of the gold mines you're probably sitting on is your EMAIL LIST!


We collect email addresses all the time.... in our order intake processes, when we hold events, and when we have special offers. But how often do we use them as a point of contact to deepen client relationships? I've definitely been guilty of this before!


Here are 3 quick things you can do TODAY to leverage your email list:


1. UNIFY THEM IN ONE PLACE

We may have emails we've received from clients, intake forms, databases, invoices and other random places where email addresses are living. Put them one one place! Use a system like MailChimp to organize your email list in one place. Regularly update your list as you get new contacts and prospective clients.


2. EMAIL THEM REGULARLY (duh)

This sounds self-explanatory, but most of us do not actually email the people we serve on a regular basis! Even a monthly email with updates about your business is helpful. It keeps you on their minds. Find topics (like I'm doing right now for you) that are relevant to your client base and provide helpful content.


3. PAY ATTENTION TO WHO RESPONDS (and who doesn't)

You'll notice trends about who actively or passively engages with your emails. Find ways to dig deeper into growing your client relationships with those who respond. Find ways to begin to reach those who do not. Ask questions. Use responses as opportunities for more contact... a phone call, lunch, etc.
